K@Cheung Po Tsai Cave in Cheung Chau

Cheung Po Tsai (1786-1822) was an infamous pirate in Guangdong and used to hidden his treasure in caves. That's why the caves are called Cheung Po Tsai Cave. 

There are several Cheung Po Tsai Cave in Hong Kong included Cheung Chau, Lamma Island, Tap Mun, Chung Hom Kok, Port Island and Siu Kau Yi Chau. In this article, I will mainly talk about the Cheung Po Tsai Cave in Cheung Chau because it is the most popular one.


Cheung Po Tsai Cave is a seafaring heritage and locates in southwest Cheung Chau. The cave is very small. The length of cave is only 10 ft. and it is dark and slippery. It is hard to enter into the cave. Therefore visitors are advised not to enter.
